Kinesiotape is an elasticated adhesive tape that is applied to the skin in order to influence muscle activity and the movement of fluid around the body. It can be used immediately after injury, through each stage of the recovery process, right up to prevention of re occurrence. There is growing evidence supporting its use with joint pain such as Arthritis, soft tissue injuries such as tendon, ligament and muscle trauma, and swellings such as haematomas (bruising).
Kinesiotaping has been around for over 30 years and is commonly used in all walks of life including most sports at the highest levels.
